"Lets Do the Twist" Dance Contest!
Hip shaking' mamas and toe tapping' daddies unite! Our personality DJ puts each finalist in the spotlight.
Musical Men /Women
Have as many men or women sit on chairs in a circle. Then, have 1 less person going around the circle as people that are sitting. When the music stops, all must find a lap to sit on, the odd person is out, Remove 1 Chair and continue. The last couple wins!
Limbo
We all know how limbo is done. It always seems to be a crowd pleaser and you can have a girl and guy winner. You may also do this as a couple or team event with more than one going under at the same time.
Suggested Music: Limbo Rock, Hot, Hot, Hot or other Island Music.
Marshmallow Run
This is a team game. Each person has a straw, they need to suck up 1 marshmallow and carry it across the dance floor and put it into a glass and run back and slap the hand of the next person in line. 1st team to get one marshmallow for each player wins.
Switch
A great way to get all the hard to dance people on the dance floor. Let the wedding party know that this game will be played and their help will make a much more successful outcome. We start with the bride and groom in the middle of the dance floor. We instruct to the guest that each time the dj says switch you need to leave the dance floor and find a new partner who is sitting down. If they say no, they owe you a drink!!! This is a great way to break the ice and get the blood flowing.
Conga Line
Put your hand in the person in front of you, join the line and weave in and out of the tables, it Conga time! “Hot Hot Hot” Buster Pointdexter. A variation id to have a married vs. the not married challenge, who really has more fun!
Break Dancing competition
Great for a party when you know there are going to be some dances that like to show their talents. ExtremeGarter Toss
This is when we hand-cuff the grooms’ hands behind his back and blind fold him, thus he can only use his teeth. Makes for a good laugh and a memorable outcome. P.s. You get to keep the hand-cuffs.
Pass the BOOT battle of the sexes
A great way to way to send the bride and groom to their honeymoon. We ask a for everyone to look down and find the fanciest boot with in the room. Yes, the fanciest boot. We then ask for that person to come up to the front when at the front and to bring a partner, any member of the opposite sex. After we introduce them, we then ask him to take his boots and give one to the opposite sex partner. The pair gets one song to fill the boot for the bride and groom. Let it be known the man is collecting for the groom and the female is collecting for the Bride. Once the song has completed the two need to come with their funds and count it for the crowd. The one with the most money in their boot wins all the money in both boots and has the privilege to give to their respective sex, being the bride if she won, or the groom if he won.
"I knew the Bride when she used to Rock & Roll"
The Bride Circle Dance
...At some point in the evening we get the Bride to stand in the middle of the dance floor and have all the male guests stand in a circle around her. The Bride has until the end of the song to dance with every man here in less then 4 minutes. We have a Money Dance Variation, where the male guest tape money onto her dress to have the privilege to dance with her.
)
I’m Too Sexy…
The Groom Circle Dance
...At some point in the evening we get the Groom to stands in the middle of the dance floor and have all the female guests stand in a circle around him. The Groom has until the end of the song to dance with every man here in less then 4 minutes. We have a Money Dance Variation, where the female guest must place money ‘SOMEWHERE’ into his suit to have the privilege to dance with him.
Chores for a year Toilet Paper Roll Game
We like to have fun with the bride & groom at the reception by having them compete in contests! We have two rolls of Charmin. The best man holds one end, and the maid of honor holds the other roles end. The bride and groom compete to see who unrolls the roll first around their respective party member. The Loser GETS to do the chores for a year. There is always a surprise ending?!?!
Tips - Plan Your Reception
Does your wedding reception have to be purely "sit down and eat"? We think not. Add some fun and surprise to your wedding reception with a few well executed games. It's also a perfect way to burn off calories from the yummy wedding reception meal!
Kissing Games
Everyone knows that the crowd loves to bang on the plates and glasses with their forks and knives. But what to do if you do not want to be standing up and having to kiss your new Bride or Groom every time you fill your mouth with food. You need to use a kissing game to help control when YOU want to kiss.
Kissing games can sometimes be a bit of a pain, especially to come up with something new and exciting. Do you pay for a game supplied by your DJ? Or do you come up with some kind of a game you put together yourself?
Most times games supplied by your DJ are not expensive and if you ask he will usually throw it in for free. Sometimes it is just better to go with a tried and tested program.
For example we have the Trivia game;
BRIDE & GROOM TRIVIA - KISSING GAME
On cards, write out questions that deal with the bride & groom and place them in a container either with the DJ/MC or at the head Table. Or a table could just yell, "TRIVIA!" and your DJ/MC would ask that table a question.
Guests take turns picking a trivia question from the container then your DJ/MC reads the question out loud. If the question is answered correctly by the guest, the Bride and Groom kiss. If the question is answered incorrectly by the guest, you have 2 options:
1) No kisses and the guest returns to their seat without a Consequence.
2) The guest must suffer the Consequence by getting them to do something.
Some possible Consequences could be:
- Drink a shot at the bar. (Dose not need to be an alcoholic drink)
- Give advice to the Bride and Groom.
- Guest must kiss someone.
- Sing a song with love in it.
- Make guest and or their whole table do a dance.
- Try again
- You can come up with any kind of Consequence for your guests.
Some possible questions could be:
- What is the bride's and or groom's middle name? (If either have one)
- Where did the bride and groom meet?
- How many people are at the wedding?
- On what date did the bride and groom get engaged?
- Where are the Bride and Groom going on their honeymoon?
- What is the bride's Father or Mothers name?
- Where will the couple live?
- How many pets do they have or will they have together?
- How many inches taller than the bride is the groom?
- Where was the engagement ring bought?
- As of today, how many years have they been together?
- If the bride had been married when she was five years old, ‘who’ would she have wanted to marry?
- Where did the Bride go to High School?
- Which of the guests (not a family member) has the groom known the longest?
This is only one variation of the game you could put a twist on it such as answering in the form of a question. Or giving the answer and the guest must figure out what the question was. You could make it a multiple choice answer. The possibilities are endless.
TABLE NAME TRIVIA - KISSING GAME
Here is another spin on the trivia Kissing game.
You name your tables with titles of things that are important to you such as;
- The name of the street where you will live.
- The name of the place where he proposed.
- The name of the place where you met and so on.
If people want you to kiss, they have to come up and tell the story behind the table name.
Kissing Games Part Three
You may want to keep it more traditional but not quiet as loud and noisy as forks and knifes banging on plates and glasses then you could use a Bell
RING THAT BELL - KISSING GAME
Bells can be put at every place setting on each table with a little card explaining the purpose of the bell is to ring the bell when you want the Bride and Groom to get up and kiss.
I have seen people use the mini disposable air horns for those die hard sports fans, but they can get loud.
Kissing Games Part Four
You can keep things really quiet for a kissing game by having people make a donation to get you to stand up and kiss.
CHARITABLE DONATION - KISSING GAME
Pick a charity that has special meaning to you, put a donation can on the head table. Your guests will have to pay if they want to see you kiss. For example every $1 given to charity you will kiss for 1 second.
Kissing Games Part Five
How about a little Spice in your Kiss! Get your Guests to show you their stuff when it comes to the big kiss.
COPY CAT KISS - KISSING GAME
A - Couples get up and stand in front of the head table and kiss. The Bride and Groom have to copy whatever their guests did...everything!
B - Put all the names of couples that you would like to participate in a container with yours in there 25% of the time. Each time glasses were clinked, the DJ/MC pulls a couple's name and they kiss. The Bride and Groom have to copy whatever their guests did...everything!
POEM OR LIMERICK - KISSING GAME
How about a little art in your Big kiss
Place a piece of paper and a pen at each table with a card explaining the purpose of the pen and paper.
Each table has to write a love poem or limerick (it is a great way to get people who don't know each other talking) and then come up to the podium to read it.
Make sure that the poems are collected immediately after they have been read so you can put them in a scrapbook (It makes a great memento). The DJ/MC or a wedding party member sitting closest to the podium could have that job to collect the poems.
SING A SONG WITH THE WORD "LOVE" IN IT - KISSING GAME
How about a little song in your Big kiss.
A whole table stands up and starts singing, when they finish serenading you its time to kiss.
MARRIAGE ADVICE - KISSING GAME
Some good advice goes a long way.
Your guests come up to the podium and give you a piece of marriage advice, the better the advice the better the kiss.
OPERATION BOARD GAME - KISSING GAME
If you decide to get a Kissing Game from your DJ these are some examples which he may be able to provide for your special day.
Lets play Doctor!
This is the classic board game you played as a kid. Guests pick a card and remove the body part stated on the card. If they succeed without having the buzzer go off then the Bride & Groom kiss. If they fail then they must pay a Consequence.
Some possible Consequences which could be:
- Drink a shot at the bar. (Dose not need to be an alcoholic drink)
- Give advice to the Bride and Groom.
- Guest must kiss someone.
- Sing a song with love in it.
- Make guest and or their whole table do a dance.
- Try again
- You can come up with any kind of Consequence for your guests.
HOLE IN ONE - KISSING GAME
You and your guests may be avid golfers then this Kissing Game is just for you.
Place a putting green in the middle of the dance floor. If the guest gets a whole in one, the Bride and Groom kiss. If not then it is Consequence time!
HULA-HOOP - KISSING GAME
Here is another game you played as a kid which works well.
Leave a hula-hoop in the middle of the dance floor. The guest must hula using his waist and the couple has to kiss for as long as the hula is spinning.
If your guest can not manage to Hula-Hoop then a Consequence must be paid by the guest.
BEAN BAG TOSS - KISSING GAME
Remember when you where a child one of the first games you played was Bean Bag Toss. Well people are still playing it in many different versions. The latest fad at Tail gate parties is a similar version to this next Kissing Game.
Lay down a board on the floor with the far end slightly raised. There is a hole near the top center of the board for you to toss your bean bags into. You have 4 bean bags to toss at the board the first one to land in the hole gets the Bride and Groom to kiss. If the guest is unsuccessful at putting a bean bag into the hole the, a Consequence must be paid. Count up how many bean bags are on the board 1 to 4 to determine what the preset consequence will be. If the guest misses the board all together then that is consequence enough.
Kissing Games by DJ MC Peter P
Crown and Anchor, The wheel of fortune or Roulette all have one thing in common with the Wedding Wheel - Kissing Game. They all have a wheel that spins.
WEDDING WHEEL - KISSING GAME
This is a Kissing game that works well and all can play. Most DJs charge a pretty penny for this one but its worth every dime.
Guests will spin to see whether the Bride & Groom kiss or whether they pay a Consequence.
On the wheel you have 8 pie pieces on at least 2 pieces you have Bride & Groom Kiss. On the other 6 pie pieces you have the Consequences to be paid such as;
- Make a toast
- Donate to a charity
- Drink a shot of at the bar (Dose not have to be alcoholic)
- Hula hoop for 30 seconds
- Sing a Song
- Do a dance
- You kiss the Bride and Groom
- Bridal walk back to your seat
- You and your table sing a verse from a love song
- Wear the veil until next spin lands here
- Take a shot and toast the Bride and Groom
- You and your table do an animal sound
- You kiss...?
- Do an impression of the Bride
- Do a stupid trick
- Blank - write in your selection
- Bar slave for your table
- Bride and Groom trivia

- Strike a pose
- Bride and Groom's choice
- Show your special talent
- Moonwalk back to your seat
- Toast parents of the Bride
- Toast the Groom
- Anniversary couple kiss
- Sing a verse from a love song

- Do the Macarena
- Do the Bird Dance
- Do the Twist
- Do the Tartantella
- Do the Y.M.C.A.
- Do the Bunny Hop
- Pick a partner do the Dirty Dance
These are a list of consequences that could be available on ready made pie pieces or you could use on blank pie pieces.
KISSING DICE - KISSING GAME
This is one of my favorite Kissing Games. It is simple and easy fun for everyone.
Large dice soft as a pillow, there are numbers on 4 sides and lips on 2. A guest rolls the die and if it falls on a lip, the Bride and Groom Kiss. If the die falls on numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 then;
A) The guest has to go around the room and kiss the same number of people as the number rolled
B) The couple or DJ has already decided what action each number represents:
- Give marital advice
- Another couple in the room has to kiss (DJ or MC has a list of names)
- Try again
- Answer a trivia question about the B&G, if they are right, the B&G kiss.
- Do a dance (DJ has a CD ready to go)
- Do a shooter, and so on. You can get your guests to do anything you like, well almost anything
You can also use these consequences;
- Make a toast
- Donate to a charity
- Hula hoop for 30 seconds
- Sing a Song
- Do a dance
- You kiss the Bride and Groom
- Bridal walk back to your seat
- You and your table sing a verse from a love song
- Wear the veil until next spin lands here
- Take a shot and toast the Bride and Groom
- You and your table do an animal sound
- Do an impression of the Bride
- Do a stupid trick
- Bar slave for your table
- Bride and Groom trivia
- Freeze until the next spin
- Strike a pose
- Bride and Groom's choice
- Show your special talent
- Moonwalk back to your seat
- Toast parents of the Bride
- Toast the Groom
- Anniversary couple kiss
- Sing a verse from a love song
- Toast the Bride
- Toast parents of the Groom
- Do the Robot
- Do the Macarena
- Do the Bird Dance
- Do the Twist
- Do the Tartantella
- Do the Y.M.C.A.
- Do the Bunny Hop
- Pick a partner do the Dirty Dance
The Important thing to remember is that it is all in good clean fun. I hope I have helped you to figure out what wedding Kissing Game best suites your wedding needs
